BHSc (Hons) BIOKINETICSBeing born and growing up in Ivory Coast, many of my days were spent playing soccer in the street and at the village next door and I took part in every after-school sports activity I could, even balet. Civil war in Cote D'Ivoire later forced my family and I to move to South Africa, that experience lead me to care deeply about the health and wellness of others around me, and with my love of sports, all of that passion naturally lead me to study the link between Biological health and Exercise and how that could help others. I believe each obstacle we face gives us a unique opportunity to realize we are made of more grit than we think

BHSc Biokinetics, BHSc (Hons) Biokinetics“The best exercise is to reach down and help others.” It is this passion, together with my love for sport and the health field that drove me to pursue Biokinetics. It was while job shadowing as a student that a spark for neurological rehabilitation developed and has led me to this point. I have a keen interest in the physical rehabilitation of neurological and chronic conditions and won’t shy away from orthopedic rehab. I thoroughly enjoy working with people and realizing that I can make a difference in their lives. While not at work, I also enjoy the fishing, golf and spending time with family. Adjustability has given me the chance to explore my passion in an amazing environment and I intend on bettering myself for every patient that I get the opportunity to help

Jessica Mendes
BSportSci, BSc (Hons) BiokineticsI am an avid health and wellness enthusiast who thoroughly enjoys working and interacting with people. Although exercise has always played a major role in my life, my interest in rehabilitation and my love for helping people is what made me interested in biokinetics. This career allows me to work in a field that combines all my passions into one. “You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe you can achieve." I feel that Mary Kay Ash perfectly describes what the field of Biokinetics is about. Our bodies are incredible vessels capable of doing incredible things as long as we put our minds to it. The power of the mind has always intrigued me which is why I am excited to learn more on the neurological side. I am grateful to complete my internship in 2023 with a great team at Adjustability. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and learning more about this career that I love.
